The Opportunity:
As an Admissions Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing student data and admissions processes, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate student data systems and admissions records.
- Coordinate admissions procedures, including statutory returns and timetable administration.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, Heads of Year, SEND staff, and external agencies to ensure data integrity.
- Support the efficient administration of admissions processes across the school.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and local authority admissions teams to resolve queries and provide guidance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of admissions strategies and processes.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in data management and admissions processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in using school management systems and data software.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of statutory admissions requirements and procedures.
- Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes.
