The Opportunity:

As an Admissions Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing student data and admissions processes, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate student data systems and admissions records.
  • Coordinate admissions procedures, including statutory returns and timetable administration.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, Heads of Year, SEND staff, and external agencies to ensure data integrity.
  • Support the efficient administration of admissions processes across the school.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and local authority admissions teams to resolve queries and provide guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of admissions strategies and processes.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in data management and admissions processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in using school management systems and data software.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of statutory admissions requirements and procedures.
  • Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes.
