A-Level French Tutor needed in Fulham with experience in SEN support.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced A-Level French Tutor to provide high-quality tuition in the Fulham area. The role involves working with students who may have complex needs, requiring a dedicated and compassionate approach. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured and engaging A-Level French tuition tailored to individual student needs.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) using the Bright Heart Approach.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet academic and personal development goals.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and education consultants to track student progress.
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain detailed records of student performance.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance teaching methods and safeguarding practices.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes confidence and self-belief.
  • Collaborate with the school’s team to align teaching strategies with student goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong subject knowledge in A-Level French.
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one, along with A-levels.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Valid Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list.
  • Two relevant professional references and a parent reference.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) support.
  • Previous experience in A-Level tutoring or teaching.
  • Flexibility to work both in-person and online.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
