Summary:

EYFS Tutor needed for daytime work in Haslemere with experience in SEN support.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced EYFS Tutor to provide high-quality play-based learning support to students in the Haslemere area. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about working with young children and those with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver play-based learning sessions tailored to the needs of EYFS students
  • Support students with special educational needs through individualized learning approaches
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and teaching staff
  • Follow the Bright Heart Approach to ensure a nurturing and supportive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Attend training and professional development sessions as required
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during sessions
  • Collaborate with other tutors and education consultants to deliver consistent support

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in early years education
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Valid Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
  • Ability to work during daytime hours

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar nurturing teaching methodologies
  • Previous experience in SEN tuition or teaching
  • Familiarity with play-based learning strategies
  • Experience working with students who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
