The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pre-EYFS Tutor to join our team in the Reading area. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to supporting young learners, especially those with special educational needs (SEN), and who is committed to making a meaningful impact in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, structured support to Pre-EYFS students with special educational needs
  • Create and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Communicate regularly with parents and the school to ensure consistent progress and support
  • Follow and adhere to the Bright Heart Approach and all safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Provide regular feedback and updates on student progress and development
  • Collaborate with education consultants and other tutors to ensure a cohesive and effective support system
  • Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student activities and achievements

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in early years education
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one, along with A-levels
  • Passion for teaching and working with young children
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar nurturing teaching methods
  • Previous experience in SEN tuition or teaching
  • Flexibility to work both in-person and online
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tutoring assignments
