The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Online SEN Tutor to join a dynamic team of educators who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs. This role allows you to deliver impactful, one-to-one tuition online, helping students build confidence and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and personalized online lessons tailored to the specific needs of students with SEN.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families to support their emotional and academic growth.
  • Create and implement bespoke learning plans in line with the school’s Bright Heart Approach.
  • Provide regular feedback to parents and guardians on student progress.
  • Collaborate with the school’s education consultants to ensure high-quality, consistent tuition.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and supportive learning environment at all times.
  • Attend ongoing training and development sessions to enhance teaching methods and safeguarding practices.
  • Stay up to date with current educational strategies and best practices for working with students with SEN.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK.
  • A current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong subject knowledge in the area(s) you wish to tutor.
  • University qualification or currently studying for one, along with A-levels.
  • Experience working with students with SEN and a passion for this area of education.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications.
  • Flexibility and good availability for in-person and online tutoring.
  • Experience with the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) or similar initiatives.
  • Previous experience working with students with autism spectrum conditions (ASC).
