The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated KS2 Tutor to provide high-quality tuition in the Camberley area. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with students with SEN and a passion for making a meaningful impact in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective tuition to KS2 students in the Camberley area
  • Support students with special educational needs using the Bright Heart Approach
  • Develop individual learning plans that cater to both academic and emotional needs
  • Communicate regularly with parents and education consultants to ensure consistent progress
  • Attend training sessions and follow safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to enhance confidence and motivation
  • Provide feedback and updates on student progress to stakeholders
  • Adhere to all Bright Heart standards and maintain a professional and respectful working environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in KS2 curriculum areas
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one
  • A current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list)
  • 2 relevant professional references and a parent reference

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Passion for teaching and working with students who need extra support
  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred methods
  • Flexibility to work both in-person and online, with availability for day-time and after-school tutoring
