SEN Tutor Surrey – work with experienced tutors in Surrey supporting students with special educational needs.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor in Surrey to support students with special educational needs and disabilities. This role is ideal for experienced tutors who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualised tuition to students with special educational needs
- Develop and implement tailored learning plans based on student needs
- Communicate regularly with parents and the school to support student progress
- Provide feedback and updates on student development and learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress
- Attend training and development sessions to enhance tutoring skills
- Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with other professionals to support student well-being and academic success
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in the relevant tuition subject(s)
- University qualification or currently studying towards one
- A current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list)
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
Preferred
- Experience with students with severe SEN
- Previous experience in SEN tutoring or teaching
- Familiarity with the Bright Heart Approach
- Passion for working with students with special educational needs
- Experience with study techniques and life skills development
