A-Level History Tutor with experience in SEN support needed in Reigate.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced A-Level History Tutor with strong English skills and availability in the mornings. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students with SEN, working in a supportive and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A-Level History tuition to students with special educational needs
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and education consultants
  • Follow the Bright Heart Approach to ensure a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide regular feedback on student progress and learning outcomes
  • Attend training sessions and ongoing professional development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes
  • Support students in developing confidence, motivation, and academic skills

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
  • Strong subject knowledge in A-Level History
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one, along with A-levels
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred teaching methods
  • Previous experience in SEN tuition or teaching
  • Availability for morning tutoring sessions in Reigate
  • Familiarity with online and in-person tutoring formats
