The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced GCSE English Tutor to work with students in the Fulham area. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth, particularly those with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality GCSE English tuition to students in the Fulham area
• Tailor teaching methods to meet the individual learning needs of students with SEN
• Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment
• Track and report on student progress regularly
• Collaborate with parents and education consultants to ensure consistent support
• Follow the Bright Heart Approach and safeguarding policies
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs
• Maintain accurate records and communication with stakeholders

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong subject knowledge in GCSE English
• University qualification or currently studying towards one
• A current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
• Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)

Preferred

• Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred teaching methods
• Experience in delivering one-to-one or small group tuition
• Familiarity with curriculum requirements for GCSE English
• Passion for working with students who require additional support
