Summary:
Full Time SEN Teaching Assistant in Lancashire. Support students with SEMH needs in a caring environment.

The Opportunity:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH needs to reach their full potential. You will contribute to a safe, nurturing environment that promotes learning, wellbeing, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in their learning and general wellbeing, ensuring they have the best opportunity to succeed.
- Assist in the planning and evaluation of learning activities tailored to individual needs.
- Provide meaningful feedback on pupil attainment and progress to support their development.
- Support teachers in monitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupils’ progress in line with school policies.
- Promote positive behaviour and adapt responses to changes in student behaviour.
- Encourage the development of spiritual, moral, social, and cultural (SMSC) values and British principles.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with SEN students in an employed or voluntary capacity.
- Willingness to complete Team Teach certification within the probation period.
- Full UK driving licence or a commitment to obtain one for transporting students and participating in off-site activities.
- GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
- Knowledge or experience of working with students with SEMH or ASD.
Preferred
- Willingness to work towards an L3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in delivering PSHE and promoting British values.
- Creativity and adaptability in meeting the needs of diverse students.
