A-Level Physics Tutor needed in Byfleet with experience in SEN support.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced A-Level Physics Tutor to provide high-quality tuition in the Byfleet area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and working with students with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective A-Level Physics tuition to students in the Byfleet area
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) through tailored teaching methods
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on student progress
  • Follow the Bright Heart Approach to ensure a nurturing and student-centred learning experience
  • Provide detailed feedback to students and parents on academic performance and development
  • Attend training and development sessions to enhance teaching techniques and SEN support strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes
  • Collaborate with education consultants to ensure consistency in teaching standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in A-Level Physics
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one, along with A-levels
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list)
  • Two relevant professional references and a parent reference

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach
  • Previous involvement in SEN training or workshops
  • Experience with online tutoring platforms
  • Familiarity with creating individual learning plans (ILPs)
