The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced A-Level Physics Tutor to provide high-quality tuition in the Byfleet area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective A-Level Physics tuition to students in the Byfleet area
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) through tailored teaching methods
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on student progress
- Follow the Bright Heart Approach to ensure a nurturing and student-centred learning experience
- Provide detailed feedback to students and parents on academic performance and development
- Attend training and development sessions to enhance teaching techniques and SEN support strategies
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes
- Collaborate with education consultants to ensure consistency in teaching standards
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in A-Level Physics
- University qualification or currently studying towards one, along with A-levels
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list)
- Two relevant professional references and a parent reference
Preferred
- Experience with the Bright Heart Approach
- Previous involvement in SEN training or workshops
- Experience with online tutoring platforms
- Familiarity with creating individual learning plans (ILPs)
