Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in A Level Politics and Level 2 Humanities courses to a diverse range of learners.
- Support the development and delivery of the UpGrade and APP programmes of study.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to college-wide improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing tailored feedback and intervention.
- Prepare students for both non-examined and examined assessments.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and develop innovative teaching resources.
- Contribute to the design and development of engaging, accessible, and challenging lessons.
- Demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in industry or a good honours degree in a related subject (or a combination of both).
- Commitment to obtaining a teaching qualification if not already in possession.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students with varying levels of ability.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching A Level Politics or related subjects.
- Experience with the UpGrade and APP programmes.
- Experience with non-examined assessments and examined assessments.
- Experience in a college or sixth form setting.
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £31,966 to £46,980 per annum.
