Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in A Level Politics and Level 2 Humanities courses to a diverse range of learners.
  • Support the development and delivery of the UpGrade and APP programmes of study.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to college-wide improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing tailored feedback and intervention.
  • Prepare students for both non-examined and examined assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and develop innovative teaching resources.
  • Contribute to the design and development of engaging, accessible, and challenging lessons.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in industry or a good honours degree in a related subject (or a combination of both).
  • Commitment to obtaining a teaching qualification if not already in possession.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students with varying levels of ability.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A Level Politics or related subjects.
  • Experience with the UpGrade and APP programmes.
  • Experience with non-examined assessments and examined assessments.
  • Experience in a college or sixth form setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £31,966 to £46,980 per annum.
