The Opportunity:

As an Exams Data Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of exams and assessments. This is a specialist position that supports the Head of Exams and ensures the school meets all external and internal deadlines while maintaining compliance with JCQ regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate exam timetabling, ensuring accurate scheduling of assessments and access arrangements.
  • Oversee room bookings and capacity planning to support effective exam delivery.
  • Handle large data files and upload them to exam boards in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise with multiple departments to ensure data accuracy and support effective planning.
  • Generate reports to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of exam services.
  • Support invigilator planning and ensure all staff are scheduled appropriately.
  • Maintain compliance with JCQ regulations and internal deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Exams and other teams to deliver year-round assessments with minimal disruption.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in data management or administrative roles, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong IT literacy and the ability to manage and manipulate data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience with exam administration and compliance procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a compliance-based role or working with exam boards.
  • Familiarity with JCQ regulations.
  • Experience with timetabling software or data management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
