The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified A Level Psychology Teacher to join our Science department. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development within a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach AQA A Level Psychology to Years 12 and 13 students
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and assessments aligned with the AQA syllabus
  • Contribute to the development and review of schemes of work and revision materials
  • Manage and maintain resources for assigned modules and topics
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with school policy
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good honours degree with a qualification to teach Psychology at A Level
  • Proven experience teaching Psychology in a comprehensive school setting
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and equal opportunities policies

Preferred

  • Evidence of further study or training in Psychology education
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and resources
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms such as Doddle
  • Experience in delivering extra-curricular activities related to Psychology
