The Opportunity:

The position is ideal for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across all ability levels up to Level 3.
  • Engage and inspire learners through creative and meaningful teaching approaches.
  • Plan and manage lessons with a focus on real-world context and application.
  • Support students in progressing to further education, apprenticeships, and careers in health and social care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Sciences department to enhance the curriculum and student experience.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and a positive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Health and Social Care sector and incorporate them into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher status or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching Health and Social Care at KS4 and Level 3.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • Commitment to student success and real-world application of learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with vocational qualifications such as BTEC Tech Award, NCFE CACHE Certificate, and BTEC National Diploma.
  • Experience in supporting students into higher education or careers in health and social care.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of the department and curriculum.
