The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Health and Social Care Teacher to join a thriving department. The position is ideal for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across all ability levels up to Level 3.
- Engage and inspire learners through creative and meaningful teaching approaches.
- Plan and manage lessons with a focus on real-world context and application.
- Support students in progressing to further education, apprenticeships, and careers in health and social care.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Sciences department to enhance the curriculum and student experience.
- Maintain strong behaviour management and a positive learning environment.
- Stay up to date with developments in the Health and Social Care sector and incorporate them into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher status or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching Health and Social Care at KS4 and Level 3.
- Strong planning, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
- Commitment to student success and real-world application of learning.
Preferred
- Experience with vocational qualifications such as BTEC Tech Award, NCFE CACHE Certificate, and BTEC National Diploma.
- Experience in supporting students into higher education or careers in health and social care.
- Ability to contribute to the development of the department and curriculum.
