The Opportunity:

As an Academy Manager, you will lead the United Pathways provision, ensuring high-quality support, consistent systems, and positive outcomes for students. This is a key role in shaping a successful and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of United Pathways, including staffing, student attendance, and support coordination.
  • Develop and implement systems that promote positive behaviour, high expectations, and student wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, safeguarding teams, families, and external agencies to ensure student success.
  • Use data effectively to inform practice and drive continuous improvement in provision.
  • Support the development of a strong, inclusive culture that fosters student progress and staff engagement.
  • Coordinate with year teams and external partners to deliver consistent and impactful pastoral support.
  • Ensure that all students receive clear guidance and opportunities for academic and personal growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of United Pathways provision to support future development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of student wellbeing, inclusion, and pastoral care.
  • Experience in managing operational and support provision within a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience in working within an academy trust or multi-academy trust.
  • Background in behaviour management and attendance improvement.
  • Experience with United Pathways or similar provisions.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
