Summary:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant role available at a school in Sheffield. Support students with SEND and core subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs and complex learning needs.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery in core subjects.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
  • Monitor and record student progress regularly.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with behavior management and pastoral care.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Literacy and numeracy qualifications equivalent to a Level 2 (grade 4 at GCSE).
  • Relevant and up to date training and experience in behaviour support, SEN or emotional wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and caring attitude towards students.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of core subjects such as English and Mathematics.
  • Experience with supporting students in a classroom environment.
