The Opportunity:

As an Access and Achievement Manager, you will play a vital role in leading the inclusion base and ensuring that all students, including those with SEND, mental health needs, or who have experienced trauma, can thrive. You will work closely with teaching assistants, classroom practitioners, and specialist assessors to create an inclusive learning environment and support students through targeted interventions and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Access and Achievement inclusion base, ensuring effective delivery of interventions and support.
  • Allocate resources and timetables to teaching assistants and support staff.
  • Collaborate with specialist assessors to provide exam access arrangements and support medical needs.
  • Work with classroom practitioners to adapt resources and monitor student progress.
  • Promote an inclusive learning environment that supports all students in achieving their potential.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and inclusion policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with SENCos and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing inclusion initiatives or working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Experience in supporting students with mental health challenges or trauma.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCos, and classroom practitioners.
  • Understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and interventions.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing a team of teaching assistants or support staff.
  • Experience with exam access arrangements and medical needs support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Experience in a school setting within a multi-academy trust.
