The Opportunity:

As an Inclusion Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs and those requiring behaviour interventions. This position is central to creating a calm, inclusive learning environment where students can reset their behaviour, reflect, and return to class with renewed focus. Your work will directly impact student outcomes and contribute to a more inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the RESET Inclusion Room(s) to support students with behaviour interventions and academic support.
  • Work closely with the SENCo, behaviour team, and classroom practitioners to develop and implement inclusive strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt resources to meet individual needs.
  • Deescalate challenging behaviours and support students in reflecting on their actions.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students, including those with SEND, mental health challenges, or trauma.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent support and interventions across the school.
  • Provide regular feedback to the leadership team on the impact of inclusion strategies.
  • Support students in returning to lessons with a clear understanding of their behaviour and next steps.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing inclusion or behaviour support roles within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and SEND support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deescalate challenging situations and support student reflection.
  • Commitment to social mobility and student achievement.
  • Experience working with students with a range of needs, including mental health and trauma.

Preferred

  • Experience with behaviour management frameworks or restorative practices.
  • Training or experience in teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in a school with high levels of deprivation or SEN needs.
  • Background in professional development or leadership within education.
