The Opportunity:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will work closely with students in 1:1 and small group settings to improve behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with social, emotional and mental health challenges through 1:1 and small group sessions
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Work collaboratively with the behaviour, pastoral, SEND and wellbeing team
  • Assist in adapting resources and monitoring student progress
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Support students in lessons and in the RESET Inclusion room
  • Contribute to reintegration packages for students requiring additional support
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students in need

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working with students with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deescalate challenging behaviour
  • Commitment to inclusion and student well-being
  • Experience in education or youth work

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Background in SEND or pastoral support
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting
