The Opportunity:

As an Accounting Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality AAT Level 1-3 courses to adult learners. You will inspire and support students in achieving their academic and professional goals, while contributing to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective AAT Level 1-3 courses to a range of learners.
  • Plan and structure lessons that meet curriculum requirements and support student achievement.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Track student performance and maintain accurate records of achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the accounting curriculum.
  • Participate in administrative tasks related to course management and student support.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and incorporate relevant knowledge into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • AAT or equivalent qualification in Accounting.
  • Proven experience in teaching accounting at Level 1 to Level 3.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching adult learners.
  • Familiarity with AAT qualification framework.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard accounting practices.
