The Opportunity:

Join a school’s Additional Support Team as an Admin Assistant SEND, providing essential administrative support to the SEND provision. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and dedicated to supporting students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the SEND department
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports using computerised systems
  • Draft and send letters to parents and external agencies
  • Collate and analyse data to meet deadlines consistently
  • Arrange meetings, coordinate events, and take detailed minutes
  • Respond to correspondence independently where appropriate
  • Support pupil welfare, including first aid and communication with parents
  • Coordinate with the main school administration team
  • Manage stationery supplies and departmental resources
  • Use ICT systems such as Word, Excel, and databases

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ICT and administrative skills
  • Proactive and highly organised individual
  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred

  • Experience with SEND provision
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures
