The Opportunity:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment during staff absences. This is an opportunity to support students, contribute to a vibrant school culture, and make a meaningful impact on student engagement and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes using pre-prepared work and ensure student engagement
• Manage student behaviour in a positive and effective manner
• Support teaching and learning across a range of curriculum areas
• Provide feedback on student progress and engagement
• Assist with classroom resources and displays
• Support examinations, trips, and enrichment activities
• Undertake break and lunch duties, as well as wider school support tasks

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Experience working with children or young people
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Calm, flexible, and organised approach to work
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
• Professionalism, tact, and enthusiasm

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting
• Background in education or youth work
• Experience with classroom management and student engagement
