The Opportunity:

As an Administrative Assistant - Performing Arts, you will play a key role in supporting the Music and Drama departments, ensuring the smooth running of lessons and co-curricular activities. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment, ideal for graduates interested in arts education or teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organising and coordinating co-curricular events, trips, and residential visits.
  • Stewarding ABRSM and Rockschool rehearsals and examinations.
  • Managing the inventory of sheet music and instruments, including servicing and repairs.
  • Designing and producing promotional materials for performances.
  • Filming, recording, and editing examination submissions and performances.
  • Providing technical support to the Drama department in areas such as stage management, set design, prop making, costume coordination, sound design, or choreography.
  • Supporting the planning and execution of school performances and events.
  • Maintaining accurate records and communication with students, teachers, and parents.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level performing arts qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Practical knowledge of music and drama.
  • Experience supporting young people in performing arts.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work with children in a trusted role.

Preferred

  • Experience in music technology, instrumental performance, stage management, or drama production.
  • Familiarity with performance recording and editing software.
  • Previous experience in event coordination or stage management.
