Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs in the classroom and during individual or small group sessions
- Assist with personal care and well-being of students as required
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to enhance learning outcomes
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and encouraging educational environment
- Implement literacy and numeracy strategies to support student learning
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teaching staff
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic numeracy skills and knowledge of ICT
- Understanding of the school curriculum and literacy/numeracy strategies
- Patience, empathy, and understanding of children’s diverse needs
- Ability to work as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience working with pupils with special educational needs
- Knowledge of the Jesuit ethos and values
- Experience in providing personal care support to students
