Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in the classroom and during individual or small group sessions
  • Assist with personal care and well-being of students as required
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to enhance learning outcomes
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and encouraging educational environment
  • Implement literacy and numeracy strategies to support student learning
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teaching staff
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic numeracy skills and knowledge of ICT
  • Understanding of the school curriculum and literacy/numeracy strategies
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding of children’s diverse needs
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of the Jesuit ethos and values
  • Experience in providing personal care support to students
