The Opportunity:

As an Admissions Registrar, you will be central to managing the admissions process for the Junior School, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for families. You will play a key role in maintaining the school’s high standards of customer service and organisational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full admissions process, from initial contact through to the first day at school.
  • Coordinate and deliver events such as Open Mornings, Taster Days, and Welcome Evenings.
  • Oversee the Road to Seniors programme for Years 4–6, ensuring smooth communication and transition into Year 7.
  • Maintain and manage the Junior Admissions calendar with precision and efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with families throughout the admissions journey.
  • Liaise with Senior School colleagues to support student transitions.
  • Use management information systems such as SIMS or iSAMS to manage data and reports.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed to tight deadlines and with a high standard of accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in independent school admissions.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in ICT, including experience with SIMS or iSAMS, and in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills, with the ability to build relationships with families and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Road to Seniors programme or similar transition initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the admissions process in independent schools.
  • Experience in managing events and calendars for educational institutions.
