The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and practical ADT Technician to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality Design Technology lessons. This role will involve providing efficient technical support to the DT department and working closely with the Lead DT Teacher to ensure the smooth running of lessons across KS3-KS4.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient technical support to the DT department, including preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment
• Support the Lead DT Teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across KS3-KS4
• Assist in the management and maintenance of DT equipment and resources
• Contribute to the wider school community through collaboration and teamwork
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure a positive learning environment
• Ensure all DT equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use
• Assist in the development and implementation of DT curriculum materials
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology
• Experience in providing technical support in an educational setting
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to the school’s values and ethos

Preferred

• Experience supporting the delivery of Design Technology lessons
• Familiarity with KS3-KS4 curriculum requirements
• Experience with the maintenance and management of educational equipment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a school environment
