Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and practical sessions to students in cookery
  • Shape and maintain the curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards
  • Monitor and improve teaching, learning and assessment practices
  • Support student attendance, engagement and academic progress
  • Provide guidance for students’ progression into higher education, apprenticeships or employment
  • Lead and contribute to a culture of excellence and professionalism
  • Ensure the highest standards in student outcomes and curriculum quality
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 Assessor Award and Level 4 IQA qualification, or willingness to obtain them
  • Proven experience in teaching and delivering cookery programmes
  • Strong leadership and curriculum development skills
  • Commitment to student success and professional standards

Preferred

  • Experience in hospitality and catering industry
  • Knowledge of current trends and practices in professional cookery
  • Experience with assessment and quality assurance processes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
