The Opportunity:

As an After School Club Supervisor, you will help create a safe, engaging, and productive environment for children during out of school hours. You will support them with their homework, encourage positive attitudes towards learning, and foster a sense of achievement and motivation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise children during after school hours, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Assist pupils with their homework tasks, offering guidance and encouragement.
  • Promote good behaviour and maintain high standards of conduct.
  • Encourage positive attitudes towards learning and celebrate student achievements.
  • Collaborate with staff and parents to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
  • Organise and maintain an enjoyable and productive after-school programme.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the club, including the supervision of activities and transitions.
  • Provide a warm and caring presence that helps children feel motivated and supported.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A warm, patient, and creative individual with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Experience working with children in a supervisory or support role.
  • Commitment to promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or youth work.
  • Familiarity with supporting children with homework and learning.
  • Previous experience in a school or similar setting.
  • Flexibility to work during term time, Monday to Friday, 3.45pm to 6.30pm.
