The Opportunity:
As an After School Club Supervisor, you will help create a safe, engaging, and productive environment for children during out of school hours. You will support them with their homework, encourage positive attitudes towards learning, and foster a sense of achievement and motivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise children during after school hours, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
- Assist pupils with their homework tasks, offering guidance and encouragement.
- Promote good behaviour and maintain high standards of conduct.
- Encourage positive attitudes towards learning and celebrate student achievements.
- Collaborate with staff and parents to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
- Organise and maintain an enjoyable and productive after-school programme.
- Ensure the smooth running of the club, including the supervision of activities and transitions.
- Provide a warm and caring presence that helps children feel motivated and supported.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A warm, patient, and creative individual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Experience working with children in a supervisory or support role.
- Commitment to promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in education or youth work.
- Familiarity with supporting children with homework and learning.
- Previous experience in a school or similar setting.
- Flexibility to work during term time, Monday to Friday, 3.45pm to 6.30pm.
