Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art and Design lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student progress
  • Create and use a variety of resources to enhance learning and achievement
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s vision and values
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate
  • Participate in professional development and continuing teacher training
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in Art and Design education
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Art, Design, and Technology
  • Experience teaching Art and Design at secondary level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Commitment to student welfare and personal development
  • Experience in a similar educational setting

Preferred

  • Experience with photography and digital design
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment strategies
  • Experience in delivering extracurricular activities
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
