Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students of all abilities
  • Use a range of resources and teaching strategies to ensure high standards of learning and achievement
  • Support students in making accelerated progress in English
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share best practice
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other members of staff
  • Participate in the school’s professional development and training programmes
  • Contribute to the school’s vision and values by promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Take responsibility for the pastoral care and well-being of students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience of teaching English at secondary level
  • Commitment to student success and high standards of teaching
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a similar school or academy
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support
