The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Religious Studies Teacher or Subject Leader to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development, while working in a supportive and high-achieving school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
  • Support student personal development and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and impactful curriculum
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Take on leadership responsibilities if appointed as Subject Leader (TLR available)

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Studies
  • Ability to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Religious Studies
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to student achievement and wellbeing

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role within a school
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement practices
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Experience with teaching in a multi-academy trust
