Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Use a range of resources and strategies to ensure students achieve the highest standards
  • Support students in developing their problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve teaching and learning
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to inform future teaching
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students when needed
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Stay up to date with best practices and developments in Maths education

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience of teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to student success and personal development

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a similar school or academy
  • Experience with teaching students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Experience in using technology to enhance learning
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
