The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Art and Design Teacher to join a thriving department and contribute to a school with a strong record of student success. The role offers the chance to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including AQA GCSE and A Level courses.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality Art and Design lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Develop and implement effective schemes of work and assessment strategies.
Support student progress through personalized learning and intervention.
Promote creativity and innovation in the classroom.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
Monitor and assess student work in line with school and curriculum standards.
Participate in professional development and training initiatives.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Art and Design.
Experience teaching Art and Design at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to student achievement and progress.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

Experience with AQA GCSE and A Level specifications.
Background in teaching Graphic Communication, Textile Design, or 3D Design.
Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
Previous experience in an inner-city or high-performing school.
