The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Art and Design Teacher to join a thriving department and contribute to a school with a strong record of student success. The role offers the chance to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including AQA GCSE and A Level courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art and Design lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement effective schemes of work and assessment strategies.
  • Support student progress through personalized learning and intervention.
  • Promote creativity and innovation in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student work in line with school and curriculum standards.
  • Participate in professional development and training initiatives.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Art and Design.
  • Experience teaching Art and Design at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and progress.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with AQA GCSE and A Level specifications.
  • Background in teaching Graphic Communication, Textile Design, or 3D Design.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous experience in an inner-city or high-performing school.
