Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Ensure strong student outcomes through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the AQA GCSE and OCR A Level specifications.
- Support the school’s mission to promote student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student engagement.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Engage in pastoral and extra-curricular activities where appropriate.
- Maintain a calm, scholarly, and purposeful learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Commitment to high expectations and student achievement.
- Ability to work in a structured and high-performing environment.
Preferred
- Experience with AQA GCSE and OCR A Level specifications.
- Experience in a school with a strong academic record.
- Experience with professional development and staff training.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar setting.
