Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Ensure strong student outcomes through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the AQA GCSE and OCR A Level specifications.
  • Support the school’s mission to promote student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student engagement.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Engage in pastoral and extra-curricular activities where appropriate.
  • Maintain a calm, scholarly, and purposeful learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Commitment to high expectations and student achievement.
  • Ability to work in a structured and high-performing environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with AQA GCSE and OCR A Level specifications.
  • Experience in a school with a strong academic record.
  • Experience with professional development and staff training.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar setting.
