The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Art and Design Technology Teacher to join a dynamic team. This role offers the chance to inspire students across KS3 and lead examination and vocational courses in food, catering, and art at KS4 and Post-16.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach across the Art and Design Technology curriculum, with a focus on food and catering and art.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that engage students and meet curriculum standards.
- Prepare and mark assessments, providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
- Support the development of students' practical and theoretical skills in ADT disciplines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
- Manage classroom environments effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive learning culture.
- Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Art and Design Technology.
- Experience teaching food, catering, and art at KS3, KS4, and Post-16 levels.
- Familiarity with examination and vocational courses in ADT disciplines.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on applied learning.
- Background in curriculum development or leadership within ADT.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or working with diverse student groups.
