The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Art Teacher 0.5 to join our dynamic Art and Design Department. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, contributing to a department with strong uptake at both GCSE and A-Level. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on students' learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality art lessons that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
- Support students in achieving academic success and developing a lifelong love for the subject.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Lead and participate in co-curricular activities, such as academic clubs and educational visits.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in art education.
- Commitment to the highest standards of teaching and learning.
- Ability to teach Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in delivering creative and engaging lessons.
Preferred
- Experience teaching AQA A-Level Politics.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities such as PSHE teaching.
- Experience in leading co-curricular activities or academic clubs.
- Familiarity with the use of digital tools in teaching and learning.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of MPS1 – UPS3 (£31,650 – £49,084).
