The Opportunity:

As an Art Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the artistic development of students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will lead a comprehensive Art curriculum that includes GCSE and A Level courses, and contribute to the school’s proud legacy as a specialist Arts College.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement a creative and engaging Art curriculum aligned with GCSE and A Level specifications.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualized guidance and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular links and enrichment opportunities.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development and Wellbeing Program.
  • Promote inclusivity and diversity within the classroom and wider school community.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Engage with external partners and organizations to enhance teaching and learning opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and design.
  • Experience in teaching Art at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering specialist enrichment programs or extracurricular Art activities.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and supporting diverse student needs.
  • Familiarity with the Wandle Learning Trust and its values.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to professional development initiatives.
