The Opportunity:
As an Art Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the artistic development of students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will lead a comprehensive Art curriculum that includes GCSE and A Level courses, and contribute to the school’s proud legacy as a specialist Arts College.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Art lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Develop and implement a creative and engaging Art curriculum aligned with GCSE and A Level specifications.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through individualized guidance and assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular links and enrichment opportunities.
- Participate in the school’s professional development and Wellbeing Program.
- Promote inclusivity and diversity within the classroom and wider school community.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Engage with external partners and organizations to enhance teaching and learning opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art education.
- Strong subject knowledge in Art and design.
- Experience in teaching Art at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering specialist enrichment programs or extracurricular Art activities.
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and supporting diverse student needs.
- Familiarity with the Wandle Learning Trust and its values.
- Experience in leading or contributing to professional development initiatives.
