Key Responsibilities:
- Support Assistant Headteachers and Heads of Year in delivering high-quality pastoral care to students.
- Triage pastoral concerns and identify appropriate support pathways for students.
- Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and refer cases to the DSL or other relevant staff.
- Serve as the main point of contact for students at Student Services and support during key times of the day.
- Ensure students adhere to the school's high expectations and behaviour standards.
- Provide first aid support and contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to student welfare and pastoral needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in a pastoral or support role within an educational setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
- First aid qualifications.
Preferred
- Experience in a school environment, particularly within a boys’ grammar school.
- Knowledge of child protection procedures and safeguarding best practice.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support strategies.
- Flexibility to travel between campuses.
