The Opportunity:
As an Assistant SENCo, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, working closely with the SENCO to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a forward-thinking school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Inclusion Hubs across multiple campuses.
- Support teaching staff, SENCO, and LSAs in raising achievement through effective planning, monitoring, and assessment.
- Promote inclusivity and ensure students are supported in all areas of school life.
- Contribute to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Encourage independent learning and help students reach their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a personalised and bespoke education.
- Assist in the implementation of strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Provide support for students’ wellbeing and personal care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of inclusion strategies and best practices.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a SENCo or similar role.
- Experience with data management and assessment tools.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and inclusive teaching methods.
- Experience in a large school or multi-campus environment.
