The Opportunity:

The Artist in Residence will play a key role in inspiring and mentoring young artists. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the creative development of students while benefiting from a supportive and resource-rich environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and guide young artists in their creative development
• Assist with workshops and other art-related activities
• Collaborate with the Art Department to support curriculum delivery
• Display your own work in at least two exhibitions per year
• Utilize the school’s facilities, including studio space and use of school amenities
• Engage with students and staff to promote a culture of artistic excellence
• Support the school’s commitment to creativity and personal growth
• Contribute to the broader artistic and cultural life of the school

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A degree in Art or a related field
• Demonstrated experience as a practising artist
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to mentoring and inspiring young artists

Preferred

• Experience in education or teaching
• Portfolio of artistic work that showcases a range of styles and techniques
• Familiarity with art education frameworks and curricula
• Experience working with young people in a creative environment
