The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced ASDAN Tutor to work in the Woolwich area, supporting students with special educational needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through personalized and impactful tutoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality ASDAN tutoring sessions tailored to the needs of students with SEN
• Support students in developing skills and confidence through a student-centred approach
• Follow the Bright Heart Approach and adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and education consultants
• Provide regular feedback and updates on student progress
• Collaborate with other tutors and education experts to ensure consistent support
• Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities
• Maintain detailed records and reports on student engagement and outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong subject knowledge in ASDAN-related subjects
• University qualification or currently studying towards one
• Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
• Current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
• Ability to provide 2 professional references and a parent reference

Preferred

• Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred methodologies
• Familiarity with study techniques and lifelong skills development
• Experience with online tutoring platforms
• Previous experience in interim education or supplementary tuition
• Passion for working with students who need additional support
