KS2 Tutor needed in Battersea with SEN experience.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced KS2 Tutor to provide high-quality tuition in the Battersea area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with students with SEN and who can deliver impactful, tailored support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective one-to-one or small group tuition to KS2 students
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the individual needs of students with special educational needs
  • Monitor and track student progress regularly, providing feedback to parents and the school
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and learning outcomes
  • Communicate regularly with parents and the school to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
  • Follow all safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
  • Attend training and professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills
  • Stay up to date with curriculum requirements and best practices in SEN education

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in KS2 subjects
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one, along with A-levels
  • Passion for teaching and working with students with SEN
  • Current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Previous experience in SEN tutoring or teaching
  • Familiarity with the Bright Heart Approach
  • Experience with online and in-person tutoring
