The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach science across Key Stage 3 and physics at Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach A-level physics.
- Design and deliver practical, engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, best practices, and support student learning.
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, including STEM events and trips.
- Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes through inclusive and high-quality teaching.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong specialism in physics (e.g., PGCE in Physics or related degree).
- Experience in delivering engaging, practical-based science lessons.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching and achieving strong student outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the wider school community.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching at Key Stage 4 or A-level physics.
- Involvement in extra-curricular science activities or STEM events.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
