Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Design and Technology and Engineering across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan and deliver creative lessons that develop students’ practical skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Use a range of assessment methods to track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, well-organised, and inspiring workshop environment.
- Contribute to extracurricular programmes such as STEM clubs and design workshops.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver an innovative curriculum.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through engaging and challenging teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Design & Technology, Product Design, or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge in Resistant Materials and Engineering, including the use of tools, equipment, and workshop practices.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to teach an additional material area such as textiles.
