Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality lesson plans and schemes of work that engage and enrich students’ learning
  • Deliver impactful lessons that support the development of knowledge and understanding
  • Collaborate with subject leaders to ensure consistent standards of teaching and learning
  • Monitor and report on student progress through internal and external assessments
  • Support the Head of Year in delivering high-quality pastoral care to students
  • Contribute to faculty and whole school development priorities
  • Undertake appropriate supervision duties in line with the school’s duty rota
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching and learning practices

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good undergraduate degree in the teaching subject
  • Commitment and passion for teaching
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Effective management of student behaviour
  • Digital competence to utilise technology in lesson delivery

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or innovation
  • Leadership experience within an educational setting
  • Previous experience in the independent school sector
  • Familiarity with evidence-based teaching practices
