Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
- Work closely with the Headteacher to develop and implement school-wide strategies for improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student well-being and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development.
- Oversee the management of staff and resources within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s strategic vision and long-term goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong track record in leadership within a secondary school setting.
- Proven experience in raising student achievement and driving school improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents.
- Strong organisational and management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Commitment to the school’s values and ethos, including a focus on pastoral care and student well-being.
Preferred
- Experience in a senior leadership role, such as Deputy Headteacher or Head of Department.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and the use of digital tools in education.
- Experience in leading or supporting staff development and training initiatives.
- A passion for extra-curricular activities and student engagement beyond the classroom.
