Key Responsibilities:

• Support the EYFS teaching team in delivering high-quality education and care to children aged 2.5 to 4
• Assist with daily routines, including personal care and hygiene where required
• Promote children’s communication, language, early phonics, and number development
• Encourage learning through play, routine, and high-quality interaction
• Maintain an organised and flexible approach to all tasks
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and children
• Use IT systems, including Microsoft Office, to support teaching and administrative tasks
• Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
• Experience working with children aged 2.5 to 4 in a nursery, Pre-Reception, or Reception setting
• Secure understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and child development
• Confidence in supporting communication, language, and early learning
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• IT literacy with Microsoft Office

Preferred

• Experience in a similar role within a school or early years setting
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
• Commitment to professional development and continuing education
