The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the EYFS teaching team in delivering high-quality education and care to children aged 2.5 to 4
- Assist with daily routines, including personal care and hygiene where required
- Promote children’s communication, language, early phonics, and number development
- Encourage learning through play, routine, and high-quality interaction
- Maintain an organised and flexible approach to all tasks
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and children
- Use IT systems, including Microsoft Office, to support teaching and administrative tasks
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
- Experience working with children aged 2.5 to 4 in a nursery, Pre-Reception, or Reception setting
- Secure understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and child development
- Confidence in supporting communication, language, and early learning
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- IT literacy with Microsoft Office
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role within a school or early years setting
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
- Commitment to professional development and continuing education
