The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in driving the school’s vision and ensuring outstanding outcomes for students. This is a leadership position that demands a proactive, visionary approach to education and school improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a range of senior leadership responsibilities in line with the role of an Assistant Headteacher.
  • Work closely with the Principal and leadership team to drive continuous improvement and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Support the development of staff, promoting a culture of excellence and professional growth.
  • Implement strategies to improve student achievement and outcomes across all key stages.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic planning and ensure alignment with its vision and values.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and promotes well-being.
  • Oversee and monitor the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment across the school.
  • Represent the school at external meetings and engage with the wider community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive improvement and achieve high standards in teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to the school’s vision and values, including inclusivity and continuous improvement.

Preferred

  • Experience in a similar role within a large or high-achieving school.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with school improvement initiatives and data-driven decision making.
  • Familiarity with the use of IT in education and learning environments.
