The Opportunity:
As an Assistant Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in driving the school’s vision and ensuring outstanding outcomes for students. This is a leadership position that demands a proactive, visionary approach to education and school improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a range of senior leadership responsibilities in line with the role of an Assistant Headteacher.
- Work closely with the Principal and leadership team to drive continuous improvement and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Support the development of staff, promoting a culture of excellence and professional growth.
- Implement strategies to improve student achievement and outcomes across all key stages.
- Contribute to the school’s strategic planning and ensure alignment with its vision and values.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and promotes well-being.
- Oversee and monitor the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment across the school.
- Represent the school at external meetings and engage with the wider community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Demonstrated ability to drive improvement and achieve high standards in teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to the school’s vision and values, including inclusivity and continuous improvement.
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role within a large or high-achieving school.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Experience with school improvement initiatives and data-driven decision making.
- Familiarity with the use of IT in education and learning environments.
