The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Headteacher Inclusions, you will play a key role in leading and supporting the school's commitment to inclusion, attendance, and behaviour. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop inclusive practices across the school, ensuring all students have access to quality education.
  • Support the Headteacher in driving standards and fostering a positive school culture.
  • Manage and oversee the development of an engaging extracurricular programme.
  • Collaborate with staff to improve attendance and behaviour outcomes for all students.
  • Work closely with the Governing Board and senior leadership team to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Promote and maintain the school’s strong Catholic values and ethos.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for staff in the area of inclusion and leadership.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of inclusion strategies on student achievement and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of inclusion, behaviour management, and attendance strategies.
  • Experience in supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and staff.
  • Commitment to Catholic education and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role within a comprehensive school.
  • A track record of driving improvement and raising standards.
  • Experience in developing and managing extracurricular programmes.
  • Aspiring or current Headteacher with a clear career progression path.
  • Familiarity with the Ofsted framework and school improvement processes.
